  3. Behaviour Contract: Understand the framework of a contingency contract as a roadmap for transparency and predictability, covering the four pillars of target behaviours, rewards, penalties, and review dates.
  4. The Case for Equality & Diversity: Master the clinical, social, and legal arguments for EDI, including how diversity fosters innovation in healthcare and ensures compliance with statutory duties.
  5. Prejudice and Discrimination: Develop awareness of how unique life experiences condition our perceptions and explore how identifying unconscious bias allows for conscious, proactive choices to prevent discrimination.
  6. Barriers and Beyond: Identify the multi-layered hurdles that prevent equitable access, including institutional and physical barriers, cultural and religious misconceptions, and the impact of historical distrust.
  7. The Equality Act 2010: Gain a comprehensive understanding of the primary legislation protecting individuals in society and the nine specific protected characteristics covered under the Act.
  8. The Public Sector Equality Duty (PSED): Learn the statutory requirements for public bodies to eliminate discrimination and advance opportunity through specific duties, including Equality Impact Assessments and measurable objectives.
